Homeowners

We offer a variety of services, whether you plan to build the wall yourself or hire a contractor to build it from our drawings.

Common Questions

retaining wall allows you to create a near vertical face on what would normally be a slope. A retaining wall is designed to “retain” or hold back the soil behind it and resist the horizontal loads from the soil pushing against it.

Every retaining wall has its advantages and disadvantages. The options include segmental block, concrete cantilever, wood, pile and lagging, natural stone, and many more. We can help you decide which retaining wall is right for your project.

Generally, when a retaining wall exceeds 4-ft in height (including what is buried) a building permit will be required along with a signed and sealed engineering design. However, you should consult with an engineer even if it is not required by law. Check out our Services to see how an engineer can assist you.

No matter what materials you are using, a strong retaining wall starts with a proper foundation. But even the strongest retaining wall can be destroyed by water. That is why it is necessary to install proper drainage.

Contractors & Commercial Projects

Commercial projects have their own unique requirements. This includes a full set of drawings and calculations for approval by the owner.
